The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most beautiful and iconic landmarks in the world, but have you ever wondered what is on the other side, north of San Francisco? This Muir Woods Tour takes you across the Golden Gate Bridge, into the picturesque coastal town of Sausalito and to the famous Redwoods of Muir Woods.
Enjoy a scenic ride through the Marina neighborhood of San Francisco, before stopping at the Palace of Fine arts for a great photo opportunity. After travelling through the Presidio and past Crissy Fields, we cross the Golden Gate Bridge, with stops on either side if you would like to Hop Off and walk the 1.7 mile span. Feel the wind in your hair, smell the salt in the air and get the best view of the Bay and Alcatraz, Seacliff, Baker Beach and the Marin Headlands.
After the north Vista point, we head down to the beautiful coastal town of Sausalito, with its bay views, resataurants, galleries and shopping. Spend as long as you like in Sausalito, or stop for lunch or a snack.
After Sausalito, we wind up the scenic Highway 1, past Mt Tamalpais, and through the hills and forests of Marin County. In Muir Woods experience the breath taking size and beauty of California’s impressive coast redwoods. After as much time as you like in Muir Woods, head back to Sausalito when you're ready. Bus leave for San Francisco every 30-60 minutes.
For a different look at the bay, take a ferry ride (additional cost). The ferry will bring you right back to Fisherman's Wharf.
Muir Woods Tour Booking Notes:
- Vouchers must be redeemed at 2800 Leavenworth St, between Beach and Jefferson if no pick up is available.
- Entrance to Muir Woods is not included. There is a $7 fee to enter the park.

The vehicles depart from San Francisco and goes to Sausalito every two hours weekdays and every hour weekends from 10:00am until 2:00pm. The vehicle leaves Sausalito to go to Muir Woods at 11:55am, 12:55pm, and 2:55pm. The vehicle leaves from Muir Woods and heads to Sausalito at 11:00am, 12:25pm, and 2:25pm. The vehicle leaves from Sausilto to San Francisco every 30 mins on the hour and 1/2 hour - last bus departs Sausalito at 5pm weekdays and 6pm weekends.
Any collected cancellation fees will be credited to your customer account and will be available for use on any of our other products. Re booking must be done within one year of your cancellation to apply any cancellation credits, unused cancellation fees are non-refundable if not used to re book another of our products within one year.
